     The Rainbow Kids Club program represents a tremendous combined effort on the part of the Bear Valley Unified School District, Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley, and the Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District, which is aimed at providing safe, quality, affordable care to school aged valley residents. The program is available at each of the three valley elementary school sites, and includes before and after care school for children in grades kindergarten through six.

      The Rainbow Kids Club is a safe haven for children to grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. We believe each child is special and unique and has a right to quality care which helps promote positive self-image and worth. The Rainbow Kids Club staff strives to provide a secure, protected, well-rounded program. We are here for the kids who need childcare, as well as kids who just want to attend R.K.C. because it’s FUN!! The quality, care and commitment that has been the stabilizing force of this program is strengthened by the fact that all three sites are state licensed and staffed by certified personnel.

      Rainbow Kids club fees, when compared to existing fees throughout the county, are among the lowest child care fees available, and tuition assistance is offered to low income qualifying families. A 10% discount is offered for each additional child enrolled per family. Program fees are as follows:

There's a $30 registration fee per child
AM - Before School $20 per week
(7:00am to school start)
PM - After School Care $40 per week
(3:00pm to 6:00pm)


Fees include most program supplies, snacks and supplies.
